I wonder when we get something to remind people to glance at the road they're driving on every once in a while, not further distract them! Though I admit it would be cool, it sounds dangerous to have all the info you mention up on your windshield. We'll blur the line between "windshield" and "screen" if we go too far.
No disputing what you've said. I guess its my hope that having the information on the windshield, (and only semi-opaque), and maybe displayed only for a few seconds at a time, will allow people to still have their eyes forward and on the road. So maybe this increased road-eye time will off set the distraction and we'll get a net improvement in safety.
Cause that has always worked with technological improvements...

I'm wondering when we'll get HUDs over the entire windshield, able to being up diagnostics, dash instruments, song info from the radio, whatever.
But kudos to Garmin.
