The Tools. Stutz & Michels

In general, I am not a fan of so-called self-help books. This book, however, breaks out of the confines of its genre and simultaneously gives insight into how therapy can really work, and how you can make therapy work for yourself--whether you are "in therapy" with a professional or you are pursuing informal avenues to heal or grow yourself. Read it with the most skeptical eye, but be open to trying the techniques described. Judge for yourself.
