Step away from your smartphone and read a little western fiction. L'Amour's stories are perfect as I sip on a whiskey & eat beans from a can.

This was my father's favorite author. I began reading his books as a teenager and I am proud to say that I worked my way through almost the entire collection. Hands down, the Sacketts series were my favorites.

My all time favorite author also. His life was awesome, he did it all. Anyone who hasnt read Last of the Breed please do. Its not a western but a modern day hero. The hero is Rambo to the 10th power. Lonesome Gods and Ruble Noon ... they are all great. Bigger than life heroes with character.
