Hey, look! Hickok45 at the compound! Michael Bane or Tom Gresham read from a Homeland Security report on their podcast stating that the AR-15 platform was the weapon of choice for home defense. HS found that while 9mm and .45ACP will zip right through your neighbor's house, the .223 will begin to tumble at the first sign of sheet rock and probably not make it through to the exterior of the house. Also, I love my Stoeger Coach Gun but that standard capacity 30-round AR-15 magazine is where it's at.
