One of the most famous, and now a little controversial, combat photos ever taken, the "Falling Soldier" by Robert Capa during the Spanish Civil War. Is the photo genuine or was it staged?

I personally believe it is real based primarily on how the man is obviously letting go of the rifle with his right hand. If he were alive and staging the picture, he would not release his weapon for fear of damaging it. Purely my opinion of course.
