Yeah it kind of looks funky without one sticking out but it has a Small - Internal Hammer so you can only shoot double action, which is what you want in a defensive situation. Plus it won't get snagged on the hammer when you draw it.
Congrats on the new "arrival". Great looking carry gun. The internal striker revolvers are super defensive carry options, I am looking at a Ruger LCR for my Wife. Is this one a dedicate .38Spl or is it chambered for .357.

Thank you Cobrapilot. It is a 38spl.+P and Rugers are great guns, I haven't heard very many bad things about them.
