In addition to Charlie Chaplin’s Rolex that we mentioned the other day, an interesting mélange of watch- and movie-making will be on offer at Antiquorum’s sale of Important Modern and Vintage Timepieces in New York on April 10.
The steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso “Batman The Dark Knight Rises,” a bespoke take on the art deco classic, was made in a limited-edition of 10 pieces in 2012 for Warner Bros. executives who were involved in the production of the film.
Estimated at up to $12,000, it seems like an expensive little trinket for a bunch of Hollywood suits—but not when you consider the flick brought in over a billion dollars…
