Uberti 1866 Yellowboy Rifle

My very first SASS rifle was a stainless '92 Navy Arms short rifle in .38/.357. That heavy octagonal barrel just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm not a long-distance, precision shooter; I'm a light rifle, mostly iron sight, Kentucky windage kinda guy. So the two competition rifles I bought since then have been saddle rifles, the carbine, and I love them. I love them even more since I bought a couple of barrel bands with the brass bead embedded in the sight. Makes sighting much quicker for an old guy like me.
Like those '75 Outlaws, the Yellowboy doesn't seem to slick up like the '73 Winchester does. I'll wait for them to wear in a little or perhaps I may have to seek professional help. A good gunsmith might be able to do more with these than I could.
