Some facts about Corpsmen:
-Like Marines once a corpsman always a corpsman
-The title Doc is earned, not given
-You can earn the name Doc, and not be a Devil Doc
-You can be an FMF Corpsman and not be a Devil Doc
-Only when a Marine has deemed you worthy of putting his life in your hands will you have become a Devil Doc
