Good blog post. Thanks for writing it. My dad was around but he was the work focused dad. Good guy, cared for us and provided for us. Barely ever spent his money on himself. His thing was that he was always emotionally in tune with work and that world but never present at home with us. Nevertheless, eventually we talked about it and made a big deal about it. It was crappy and awkward to talk about, yell about,took a few years and so on, but it's different now and I'm glad.
