Abu Dhabi has the unique distinction of being the only twilight race on the F1 calendar and when the lights are turned on, Yas Marina becomes the largest lit permanent sports venue in the world. The aesthetic impact of a race which starts in sunshine and finishes under artificial light is stunning to the ticket holder, but the flip side of that coin is the bulk of pressure that falls on tire strategists dealing with dropping track temperatures as the race progresses.
