Those both looked like terrible tents. Neither had a half decent rain fly. I'd recommend a Big Agnes 6 person tent, with the full rain fly that doubles the size of the tent when you include the vestibule. It also comes with aluminum poles.
A good rain fly will go to about 2-6 inches from the ground.
