My first comment. This stood out more than anything to me. Sulu on the front page of a "manly" website. A gay man, on the front page. I'm okay with that.
It's because he is bad ass. I don't think there's been a more visible gay rights advocate since Harvey Milk. There is some confusion here. Sulu wasn’t gay. George Takei might be, but to my knowledge it was never indicated that Sulu was.
