The thermometer uses bluetooth and an app on your smartphone to monitor the temperature of the meat on the fire. You set target temperatures and the app will do the work of letting you know when the meat is ready (or nearly ready). The temperature probes are high quality, made from space grade aluminum .The ability to plug up to six different temperature probes and monitor them is a nice touch.
