So, last night I had a couple extra wheat beers lying around. Every once in a blue moon I'll enjoy a wheat, but they're typically not what I go for. So, I thought I would make a modified Beergarita.
Now, Brian has already outlined the usual recipe for the Beergarita (aka Danger Juice) over at the blog, but I thought I would try something on a smaller scale and much quicker.
It has been my experience that sometimes when winging a drink recipe, things don't always go that well. It's the cost of doing business, after all. But last night I had a stroke of luck because I might even like this version better than our original Danger Juice.
Here's what I did (these are all approximations):
- 2/3 can wheat beer (you could a Corona, Modelo, etc. as well)
- 1 shot tequila (I used some cheap stuff from Trader Joe's)
- 1 "spritz" of lime juice
- 1 tablespoon of agave sweetener (fun fact: tequila is made from agave)
Stir and enjoy. You can add ice if you wish.
The result is a slightly more potent yet slightly less sweet version of Danger Juice. I enjoyed it mightily, and for a summer's eve, it was just what the doctor ordered. (Well, he ordered 3 of them.)

8 years, 3 months agoWent to the liquor store and found the Reposado and agave sweetner. Then promptly left without picking up any wheat beer or lime juice. Sheesh.
