Ah, my favorite book. ( Already read it four times) I never thought the Scrooge from the book was a bad guy , just a person shaped by his past. In Scrooge's case the fear of poverty and a learned distrust of people lead him to live isolated and in borderline poverty. Funny how most movies make him out to be a villain were the book casts him as a character even more pitiful than Tiny Tim.
