Makes me chuckle that beef brisket is referred to as "barbecue." Come to North Carolina for the real deal. The faces of BBQ here actually have smiles attached, for they are doing the Lord's work.

I have never heard brisket referred to anything other than BBQ. Of course, in some parts of the South, just about anything that is cooked low-and-slow is called BBQ. What do they call it North Carolina and how is it prepared?

I am just trying to get a rise out of you. NC is famously prideful of its barbecue style. We are required to pick a fight with whoever mentions BBQ.

Gotcha. Fortunately, I don't argue over BBQ. I love all of it!

LOL! So does Kansas, Texas, really any state that "claims" they're the home of BBQ.
