I definitely recommend it. I switched from using a Mach3 to an Edwin Jagger DE89L razor and have no interest in going back.

My only concern is with the learning curve.... I am wondering how long i will bleed before i figure out how to use it.

@TheZealot, I recently switched. Cut myself once, BUT GOOD. Haven't since. Get a styptic pencil and you're set.
Just let the weight of the razor do the work. Don't use pressure. If you have a sharp blade in there, it will do all the work.

Also switched from electric razor to Merkur long handle safety. Never looking back.
I'd also recommend Proraso shaving soap- great scent and works like a charm.
