        Expect in the 20th and 21st centuries, where the communist/Marxist statists killed hundreds of millions through their dogma that COULD NOT BE QUESTIONED.

        Your attempt to blame shift this dynamic into religion as a whole is weak and ignorant of actual history.

        Have there been abuses by religion, of course! But you ought to look to your own secular brethren for the true threats to freedom of thought.

    I'm disappointed. Philosophy is the foundation of science, and asking deep questions helps get us out of the trap of religious dogma and superstition.

      Unless of course the statist point of view, in this case secular in nature, has become the new worshipped dogma and cannot be questioned.
