The Doctor is a mysterious figure. He appears to be a frail-looking old man but wiry and tough as an old turkey. He obviously has tremendous knowledge of scientific matters, and yet is unable to pilot his TARDIS time ship reliably; Susan, his granddaughter, says that her grandfather is "a bit forgetful". He's abrasive, patronising, and cantankerous towards Barbara(Wright) and I. I've observed, however, that he seems to share a deep emotional bond with his granddaughter Susan. He also harbors a streak of ruthlessness, and is willing to lie – and in one case attempt to kill – to achieve his goals. Initially, he distrusted Barbara and I. Over time, however, as we've shared adventures together, we've grown closer to him, and I'd even dare to say that we've come to share almost a family bond. My life with these travelers has become a constant adventure beyond belief.
